Is an oil used to prime unfinished wood on the exteriors of buildings and windows before painting. Also use to prime vunerable areas such as panel joints, ends of boards and cracks before painting.
Alcro Bestå Grundolja Trä penetrates the surface deeply, repells water and protects wood against attack by rot fungi, mould, mildew and blue stain.
When painting windows, follow the instructions for Bestå Fönsterfärg window paint.
CLEANING AND PREPARING THE SURFACE. Check that all surfaces are dry, clean and free of dust. Brush and sand grey wood to remove it completely before oiling.
OILING. Stir the oil well before use. Apply a generous amount of Bestå Grundolja until the wood is saturated. Wipe away excess oil on the surface before it dries. You can paint over the oiled surface with a water-based paint after about 30 minutes. If you are using other kinds of paint, wait 6 to 8 hours before painting.
NOTE: THE PRODUCT CONTAINS LINSEED OIL. Because Bestå Grundolja Trä contains linseed oil, there is a risk that rags used to wipe off the oil may self-ignite later. You should therefore put used rags, etc., in water or burn them. Bestå Grundolja Trä is for application on unfinished wood only. Any other use of the product is prohibited.
