Alcro Fasad Täcklasyr 1 litre
This is a solid stain for exterior painting of facades, joinery and wood trim. Fasad Täcklasyr is opaque and at the same time enhances the natural grain of the wood. The unique binder, combined with linseed oil, makes the paint very easy to brush out and provides good penetration as well as adhesion. It has good resistance against water, color fading and chalking.
CLEANING AND PREPARATION: Sand shiny, hard surfaces and sharp corners with coarse sand paper. Scrape or brush off grey, porous wood and loose paint until the surface is firm. Clean all surfaces from dust and dirt.
PLANED WOOD AND HEWN LOGS: Open the wood pores by sanding with coarse sand paper before painting.
PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES: Clean with Delfin Grovrent cleaning fluid. Remove algae- and mould growth with Delfin Alg & Mögeltvätt cleaning fluid. Remove thick and cracked paint layers completely. When painting surfaces in poor condition, a basecoat of System Grundfärg wood primer has to be applied.
NEW OR BARE WOOD: Apply a generous amount of System Grundolja impregnating oil to the whole facade, paying particular attention to end-grains. Wipe off excess oil after 30 min. System Grundolja can be top-coated after 30 min. and within 2-3 days. INDUSTRIALLY PRIMED WOOD: May require additional primer, consult your Alcro retailer.
PAINTING: Paint 2 top-coats of Fasad Täcklasyr. Be extra thorough when painting end-grains and joints.
IMPORTANT: Stir paint before use. Surface must be dry when painting, max. 16% moisture quote. Apply the appropriate amount of paint according to recommended coverage, do not spread the paint too thinly. Do not paint surfaces heated by sunlight. Avoid painting if risk of rain within 24 hrs, or dew 1-2 hrs, after painting.
TAKING CARE OF TOOLS AND LEFTOVER PAINT: Wet paint remains and cleaning fluids are considered hazardous waste and may not be poured into drains. Leave it, and empty cans, at a local recycling facility.
Note: Cold or humid weather may prolong drying times
