Fired Earth sheds weight with new Impress paint can

Premium paint brand Fired Earth has turned to metal packaging multinational Impress, based in Norwich, to provide lightweight cans for its new range of emulsion paints. The brand is to sell the National Trust range in Impress’ Ringo can, a new development which contains 10% less metal than standard paint cans. Fired Earth spokesman Nigel Dyer said that the ease of opening and closing the can was a key factor, alongside the reduction in weight. “The saving in packaging content allows us to demonstrate to our customers that we are genuinely looking at ways to meet the challenges of social responsibility.”
