The Alcro vision is that all paints will be water based
December 21st, 2009
All paint products contain some type of solvent whose function is to make the paint paintable and then evaporate. Solvents therefore have nothing to do with the actual quality of the remaining coat of paint. Most paints have traditionally contained organic solvents that are hazardous to people and the environment. This is why a substantial part of the environmental work is focused on replacing these harmul solvents. The Alcro goal is to phase out all solvent based paints from the product range by 2010. Alcro are also developing products that have the smallest possible impact on the environment during their entire life cycle, from production and transportation to recycling.
