The Swan ecolabel is managed by a non-profit corporation that has been commissioned by the Nordic Council of Ministers, an intergovernmental forum for co-operation between the Nordic countries. The Swan organisation checks that products meet the highest of standards through testing by independent laboratories, certification and inspection. The label is usually valid for three years, after which the criteria for ecolabelling are gradually made stricter and the company is required to apply for the label again. The association's recommendation for paint is based on an examination of its contents by allergy experts and on measurements performed four weeks after painting.
French Emissions Regulation You will be pleased to know that all Farrow & Ball products have been awarded the highest possible rating of A+. All F&B products leaving the factory will have this label on to show compliance with this French directive.
